With the 2024 NFL Draft officially less than a week away, the Las Vegas Raiders will be eager to add a talented player to their young roster.

Head coach Antonio Pierce has made it clear that he wants to build a tough, physical team and the Raiders’ eight draft picks will go a long way in helping him make that vision a reality. Las Vegas’ first-round pick is 13, and they’re expected to be in the market for a cornerback or offensive lineman.

However, if one of the highly-touted offensive prospects falls to the Raiders it’ll be too hard to pass up. This draft class is deep with quarterback and wide receivers, and both would be great additions to a Las Vegas roster that could use more firepower.

One name to watch out for is Washington’s Rome Odunze who admitted that he’d welcome a chance to play for his hometown via Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk:

“Next Thursday night, receiver Rome Odunze will be in Detroit. He’ll be waiting to see where he’s taken. And there’s one team he’d definitely welcome playing for.

The Las Vegas native recently told #PFTPM that he would be very interested in playing for the Raiders.”

Odunze is widely considered to be in the elite tier of receivers and is expected to be taken early in the first round. Marvin Harrison Jr. is currently the consensus pick to be the first receiver off the board, but there’s a legitimate argument between Malik Nabers and Odunze as to who should be taken second.

The former Huskie is a smooth route runner who can win at every level of the field, similar to Davante Adams who is a popular player comparison for Odunze. It’s likely that Odunze is taken far before Las Vegas is on the clock, but on the off chance that he falls to them they should waste no time in picking him.

Odunze has the potential to be a true No. 1 receiving option for a team and he would be a welcomed addition to a Raiders squad that can always use more outside firepower.

Davante Adams says Raiders is where he wants to be

Although his first two seasons with Las Vegas have been rough, Adams hasn’t wavered in his loyalty to the franchise. Adams could have forced his way out with a trade, and he even admitted as such. However, the superstar wideout has made it clear that he wants to stay with the Raiders no matter what.
