The Los Angeles Rams have won three straight games and now find themselves in the thick of the NFC playoff race. Now they have an extremely tough test ahead of them as they travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens and a familiar face in former receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham, of course, joined the Rams in the middle of the 2021 season and was a huge part in the team’s run to the Super Bowl. He even caught the first touchdown in that game, but unfortunately would suffer a torn ACL.

And even though he is now on the opposing side, Beckahm admits that he still has a special bond with those Rams teammates whom he won the Super Bowl with.

“It’s a special bond that I have with those guys over there – ‘Coop’ [Cooper Kupp], [Matthew] Stafford,” Beckham said. “I still hit a little group chat, talked a little trash with them this week. It’s just all love and respect.”

When you win the ultimate prize, there is always a bond that remains between those teammates. Beckham, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford and others were all extremely close so the receiver talking a little trash heading into this game makes sense.

The former Rams receiver even remembers scoring a touchdown to beat the Ravens during his time in L.A. and now hopes to do the same for the other side.

“Two years ago, I was over there, and I scored a touchdown to win the game [against the Ravens],” he said. “Now, I’m over here. Hopefully, I can do the same thing and return the favor to them. Sometimes, I have these Deja vu moments that go on mid-game after you played for so long, you’ve seen so many things.

“It’s just a team that I have a lot of love and respect for. Obviously, I won a Super Bowl with them, so it does feel good to go against them [and] to be able to see these guys. I have a special bond with them. The goal is obviously to win now on this side.”

This contest is extremely important for both sides. The Rams are currently tied for the final playoff spot in the NFC with the Packers and Seahawks, but lose the tiebreaker to Green Bay. The Ravens, meanwhile, are tied for the AFC’s top seed with the Dolphins so both sides are in need of a big win.

Beckham’s productivity has increased over the past couple weeks for the Ravens so he very well could wind up making a huge difference against his former team, which would allow him to talk a little more trash in the group chat.
