Rams Video: Jalen Ramsey & Marcus Peters Get Into Verbal Altercation After Ravens Win On Monday Night Football

The Los Angeles Rams welcomed the hottest team in football in the Baltimore Ravens to town on Monday Night Football in Week 12 needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Ravens proved why they are Super Bowl contenders though, cruising to a 45-6 victory at the Coliseum.

With the Ravens blowing out the Rams and it being out of reach early, it became a revenge game for Marcus Peters. Los Angeles traded Rams to the Baltimore a few weeks ago to make room for the acquisition of Jalen Ramsey, but Peters got the last laugh as he picked off his former teammate Jared Goff late in the game to help secure the win.

Everyone who has watched Peters throughout his NFL career knows he is a passionate and emotional player, so it came as a bit of a surprise when he said earlier in the week that this game did not mean anything extra to him.

After earning the victory though, it became clear that was not the case. Peters and Ramsey, who is also a very passionate player, got into a verbal altercation on the field after the game, via Lindsey Thiry of ESPN:

It appears that exchange continued into the tunnel, where Peters took solace in beating the Rams, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic:

Peters screaming as he walks down tunnel, talking about “kicking the Rams ass out of the playoffs.” Ramsey was waiting for him in tunnel but he was getting held back.

Ramsey also had to be held back by team officials during that tunnel altercation, via Kenny Holmes of NBC LA:

Peters’ departure from Los Angeles had less to do with his play on the field and more to do with him being in the final year of his contract. It is natural for him to feel extra motivation beating his former team though, and now he will likely be headed to the postseason and the Rams will not.

It seems that Peters has had his career rejuvenated in Baltimore as he has three interceptions, including two that he returned for touchdowns, in five games with his new team. Other than the altercation with Ramsey, he was showing a lot of his former teammates love after the game, so there likely won’t be any bad blood moving forward.
