The Los Angeles Rams enjoyed their most impressive performance of the season with a 51-14 win over the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.

Baker Mayfield was nearly perfect as he completed 24 of 28 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Both of those scores were caught by Tyler Higbee, who passed Damone Johnson for the most touchdowns by a Rams tight end in franchise history (19).

As the Rams were celebrating their victory and exchanging pleasantries with Broncos players, Oday Aboushi and Randy Gregory had to be separated after throwing a punch at each other.

According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, the NFL has suspended Aboushi and Gregory one game each for their involvement in the scuffle:

Aboushi and Gregory had exchanged words with each other before the latter threw the first punch. Aboushi retaliated by punching him back, which led to Mayfield’s postgame interview being interrupted.

Aboushi is now set to miss the Rams’ Week 17 showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers after a solid performance on Sunday. Gregory will miss the Broncos’ New Year’s Day matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Both players will be able to appeal their respective suspensions.

Baker Mayfield wins Nickelodeon’s ‘NVP’ following Rams’ victory over Broncos

The Rams’ Christmas Day matchup against the Broncos not only was featured on CBS but also on Nickelodeon. As tradition, fans got to vote for the Nickelodeon Valuable Player (NVP), which unsurprisingly went to Mayfield.

Mayfield became the first winning quarterback to be named NVP as Dak Prescott and Mitch Trubisky both lost when they were bestowed with the award.
