When Stan Kroenke moved the Rams back to Los Angeles four years ago, he had the vision of building a state-of-the-art stadium that can serve as a sports and entertainment hub not only for the United States, but the entire world.
Now that a few years have passed, Kroenke’s vision is coming to fruition as SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is nearing its completion.
The stadium was set to open with a pair of Taylor Swift concerts in July, although those are no longer happening due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It’s currently unclear whether the 2020 NFL season will be able to go on as scheduled, but if it does then the Rams will open the stadium with a pair of preseason games in August before hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 1.
Due to the pandemic, it was unclear if the stadium would be ready in time for the NFL season, but it appears there is nothing to worry about. Kroenke recently gave an update on the construction, saying it is 97% complete at this time, via Arash Markazi of the L.A. Times:

A number of SoFi Stadium construction workers have contracted coronavirus in the last couple of news, so it’s definitely positive news that the construction is almost finished.
Unfortunately, it likely will be a while before fans can see Kroenke’s masterpiece considering there’s a strong chance that the 2020 NFL season is played without fans in attendance.
Regardless though, having a new state-of-the-art stadium for L.A. sports fans to attend events at for years to come will be big for the city. The Super Bowl, NCAA Final 4, Wrestlemania and the 2028 Olympics are all expected to be at SoFi Stadium in the coming years.
