The Los Angeles Rams’ offseason has certainly been an unconventional one due to their move into SoFi Stadium, the number of roster changes, and of course, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Rams and all other teams have been forced to hold their offseason meetings virtually due to the pandemic, although a return to the field seems to be just around the corner.
It was recently reported that the Rams coaching staff will begin returning to offices beginning June 15. While there won’t be any sort of minicamp to get new players up to speed, the start of training camp is coming up quickly.
According to Stu Jackson of TheRams.com, Sean McVay anticipates all of his players reporting to training camp healthy and also laid out the target report dates they have in mind:
Rams head coach Sean McVay on the health of the team:
“I don’t anticipate anybody not being ready when we do report for training camp, which is always the goal.”
Target report dates July 28 for Vets, as early as July 23 for rookies, though nothing’s been finalized yet.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but all teams are set to report around that time and the Rams will kick of the preseason on Aug. 14 against the New Orleans Saints. So if changes are made to the dates, it likely wouldn’t be anything drastic.
Training camp will be different for the Rams this year as they won’t be holding it at UC Irvine as they have every year since moving back to L.A. Instead, it will take place at their practice facility in Thousand Oaks after the NFL mandated all teams hold training camp at their own facilities due to the pandemic.
Now that the Rams have wrapped up their offseason meetings, the onus will fall on the players to make sure they are in shape and up to speed on the playbook when they show up for training camp next month.
