Rams News: Kevin Demoff Discusses Special Features Of New SoFi Stadium

The Los Angeles Rams have spared no expense when it came to building their roster in recent years and it seems they are keeping that same approach with the construction of SoFi Stadium.

With the 2019 NFL season drawing to a close, the countdown has officially begun for the Rams to open the doors to their new home in Inglewood. They have managed to find their footing in the second-largest media market in the nation and they are looking to kick things up a notch once the 2020 NFL season rolls around.

To no surprise, the new arena is coming stocked with all the bells and whistles. Some of the amenities include a state-of-the-art display board along with other attractions in and around the stadium.

Rams COO Kevin Demoff feels it is important to provide fans with a better experience than they would get at home, via Stu Jackson of the team’s official website:

“We want people to be engaged and be Rams fans and be watching when they’re there, but we also want to make sure that the daily lives that they are used to leading, they don’t have to leave those behind to come to the game,” Demoff said. “I think that’s where the juxtaposition, when you talk about watching on television, is – do I give up my daily life and everything I’m used to, to come to the game? Usually that revolves around technology.”

Demoff also touched on their plans to reduce postgame traffic by encouraging fans to potentially stick around for a drink or dinner after the game:

“We have 500,000 square feet of retail, 18-20 restaurants, we can send you a text towards the end of the game, ‘If you want to stick around for dinner, here’s 25 percent off to go to dinner in our entertainment district if you sit on this side of the stadium,’” Demoff said, speaking about the entire Hollywood Park campus which will begin to come to life in the year following the opening of SoFi Stadium. “If you sit on this side of the stadium, we give you an incentive to go to the northern part of the campus.”

It is safe to say that the Rams’ brass has high hopes for their new home as not only a viable football stadium but one of the premier spots for entertainment in Los Angeles. It is clear that team owner Stan Kroenke is willing to go above and beyond to make that happen.

There is no question that all of these new features will go a long way in helping to grow the fan base. At the end of the day, the best way they are going to sell tickets is if they continue to put a product on the field that is worth watching.
