Rams News: Jordan Fuller Graduates From Ohio State

The Los Angeles Rams found a gem when they selected Jordan Fuller out of Ohio State in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Fuller slid all the way down No. 199 after not testing well at the Draft Combine, though the Rams saw something special in the safety. In fact, Fuller was so impressive off the bat that he was named a starter at the top of the 2020 season and never looked back.

In just his second year, Fuller was named a team captain for the 2021 campaign and built upon his productive rookie season. The defensive back recorded a team-high 113 total tackles, four passes defensed and one interception in 16 starts before ending his season on injured reserve.

Fuller still made an impact on the Rams’ Super Bowl run but he earned another accomplishment as he graduated from Ohio State, via their Twitter account:

In a funny quip, Fuller addressed why he did not have a graduation cap on via his own Twitter account:

My graduation cap doesn’t fit over my hair.. makes sense though cause me and cap don’t mix anyway

It is a huge accomplishment for Fuller, who went back to school and earned his degree in business administration. Fuller was able to walk across the stage this past Sunday on Mother’s Day, making the occasion even more special.

The safety’s IQ translates on the football field because he is able to quickly diagnose plays and position himself well. Even though Fuller may not be the fastest or quickest safety, he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time and making plays on the ball.

The 24-year-old is poised to return as one of the Rams’ starting safeties and it will be fun to see him contribute when the new year kicks off.
