The Los Angeles Rams welcomed the Baltimore Ravens to town on Monday Night Football in Week 12 in what was their most important game of the season if they wanted to keep pace in the NFC playoff race. Unfortunately, the Rams put up arguably their worst performance in years, getting demolished, 45-6, to drop to 6-5 on the season.
Not only did the Rams lose the game, but it appears they also did not come out of it injury-free. This season has already been a rough one for Los Angeles in regards to injuries, and that bad luck continued against the Ravens.
McVay also said TE Gerald Everett “might have tweaked his knee a little bit” against the Ravens Monday night and is considered day-to-day. McVay said Everett’s knee buckled on a blocking assignment during the game.
If Everett is forced to miss time that would be a tough loss for the Rams as he is in the midst of a career season. In 11 games, Everett has already posted career-highs in receptions (37) and yards (408) to go along with a pair of touchdowns.
Tyler Higbee is the team’s starter at tight end, but he excels more in a run-blocking role while Everett is the superior pass-catcher, particularly on third downs. Higbee would become the every-down tight end if Everett is not ready for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, which is a must-win if Los Angeles wants to have any hope at the postseason.
Other than Everett’s tweaked knee, the Rams came out of the Ravens game without any other reported injuries.
