Rams Fans Create Petition For Organization To Change New Logo

3 Min Read

The Los Angeles Rams unveiled their new logos and colors on their social media pages on Monday, and the fan reaction was less than stellar.

While many people were happy with the royal blue and yellow colors that the organization is returning to, they did not like the primary logo that features “LA” with a Rams horn coming out of the A.

The organization felt the need for a complete rebrand as they get set to usher in a new era with the opening of SoFi Stadium in 2020. Rams COO Kevin Demoff explained the thought process that went behind the new logos and colors, but that did not change the fan reaction.

On Tuesday evening, a Rams fan named Robert Silva created an online petition to get Demoff to change back to the old logo, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN:

One of the issues that Silva proposed in the petition is that the primary logo looks too much like that of the Los Angeles Chargers:

“The Logo they have represented to us is no way near our expectations, could have done much better.. we want our old logo back. To a lot of us, it reminds us of the Chargers. Waiting 3 years for this and it feels like a big slap in the face to us die hard Loyal Rams fans, very disappointing, we want our old logo back”

Demoff has listened to fan reaction in the past, so it will be interesting to see if this petition sparks any changes from the organization.

The Rams unveiled four new logos, and while they weren’t all bad, the primary one was unquestionably the worst, which is a big reason the fan reaction was so poor.

As of Tuesday night, the petition had over 4,000 signatures with a goal of 5,000.
