Rams Expected To Have Joint Training Camp Practices With Raiders & Broncos

The start of NFL training camp is around the corner, which is an exciting time for the Los Angeles Rams given how many young players are in the organization.

Expectations for the Rams are down this year after an awful, injury-plagued season combined with having to part ways with a number of big names on the roster for financial reasons. But Sean McVay and this Rams team will be looking to bounce back and coincidentally, the teams they will share a practice field with during camp are looking to do the same this year.

According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, the Rams will have joint training camp practices with a pair of AFC West teams in the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos:

The Rams will have joint training camp practices with the Raiders and Broncos this summer, according to a person familiar with their schedule.

The Rams are very familiar with both teams as their two most impressive wins last season came at the expense of the Raiders and Broncos. The Rams’ most dramatic win of the season came came against the Raiders when they inserted recently signed quarterback Baker Mayfield after only joining the team a couple days prior. He would lead the Rams to an improbable 17-16 comeback victory.

Two weeks later, the Rams picked up their most dominant win of the season, a 51-14 drubbing of the Broncos which included a three touchdown performance from running back Cam Akers.

Many will also remember the last time the Rams and Raiders shared the practice field. A massive brawl broke out between the two teams during a special teams session and ultimately the Raiders would leave early and not finish the practice.

The Rams will be looking to take a leap back into playoff contention this season and seeing how they stack up against a pair of teams in the same position will be a nice litmus test during training camp.

Rob Havenstein believes Rams are ‘building foundations’ ahead of 2023 season

There are still some very important veterans in the building for the Rams and one of those is offensive tackle Rob Havenstein. After winning a Super Bowl, entering this season with a lot of new and unproven faces it can be difficult for some to accept, but Havenstein likes what he sees so far.

The offensive lineman believes the Rams are ‘building foundations’ right now. Havenstein added that there is a renewed energy in the building and believes everyone has come in ready to work.
