Raiders Video: Josh Jacobs Buys Father New Home In Oklahoma

It is no secret that the Oakland Raiders had a disappointing end to their 2019 season, losing five of their final six games to finish at 7-9 and miss the postseason.

While they would obviously rather be playing in the postseason, the Raiders players seem to be making the most of the offseason. One of those players is Josh Jacobs, who is coming off a breakout rookie season after being drafted in the first round.

Jacobs recently spent some of his own money from his rookie contract, taking to social media to show the house he bought for his dad. The Raiders shared video of the special moment between Jacobs and his dad:

An unforgettable gesture.@iAM_JoshJacobs thanked his father for his sacrifices growing by buying him a home in Oklahoma.

The young Raider ended what was originally an Instagram post by saying he made all this happen by speaking it into existence. Jacobs has certainly proven his worth and showed his hard work paid off.

While Jacobs was highly touted coming out of Alabama, he still surprised many with his commitment to transforming the Raiders’ run game this past season. 1,150 rushing yards later, he is now the Las Vegas favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

On his way to a spectacular season, Jacobs broke numerous Raiders rookie records. He now owns some prestigious franchise rookie rushing record for both yards and yards per game.

Jacobs also showed his true colors this season, rarely afraid to share his emotions with the team. He was moved to tears after finding out he would miss the Raiders’ pivotal Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. The Raiders offense struggled in the second half of the season without Jacobs’ services, proving that he is one of the most important players on the team.

This was a demonstration of how great of a person Jacobs is off the field though, giving back to his father. Jacobs grew up homeless and living in a car at times with his four siblings, so it is truly awesome to see how far he has come now that he can afford a house for his family.
