Raiders Video: H.C. Jack Del Rio Posts Marshawn Lynch TD Run During OTAs

The beginning of OTAs signal that NFL training camps are around the corner, with much excitement building towards the 2017 season for the Oakland Raiders. Head coach Jack Del Rio, fresh off of a well-deserved extension, now guides Marshawn Lynch and the Raiders on their return to greatness.

While the 2016 offense of the Raiders was superb, Del Rio enters the 2017 season with a revamped core. Quarterback Derek Carr has a new face in his backfield, with Lynch taking over the starting running back duties. Fresh off of retirement, the Oakland native is set to carry his city and put forth dominance for a city that recently dealt with heartbreak.

After getting acclimated his first week with the team, Lynch officially started participating in OTAs this past week. Many expect that same ferocity and explosiveness from Lynch, behind a strong offensive line. Del Rio posted a snippet of that same dominance from the five-time Pro-Bowler, via Del Rio’s Twitter:

Push comes to shove, this should be taken with a grain of salt. The Raiders aren’t running these drills at 100 percent, more so as a light scrimmage to experiment with. However, one positive to take away is that Lynch still possesses that deadly footwork that achieved so many touchdowns.

With Lynch’s contract involving incentives upwards of $7.5 million, he certainly understands what he can help accomplish.

Entering the 2017 season, all signs point towards a championship or bust mentality, adding onto Del Rio’s professional mentality he has instilled onto his players. Lynch has already added to the friendly confines of the Raiders, seen laughing with his new teammates throughout OTAs.
