Raiders Video: Derek Carr Throwing And Working Out With Receivers

This NFL offseason has been an unconventional one for the Las Vegas Raiders are not only are they moving cities, but they have been forced to do all workouts and meetings virtually due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Despite the lack of continuity, which is the case for every team, the Raiders should be much-improved in 2020 after a successful offseason in free agency and the draft.

A big area of focus was adding weapons for Derek Carr as the Raiders selected Henry Ruggs III with the 12th overall pick in the draft in addition to drafting Lynn Bowden and Bryan Edwards in the third round and signing veterans like Nelson Agholor and Jason Witten.

The 2020 season will be filled with high expectations for Carr coming off the best year of his career statistically in 2019 despite a revolving door at the wide receiver position.

Carr has already made it clear that he is no longer looking to be politically correct and is coming into the season with a chip on his shoulder. It appears he has already begun getting to work with his new teammates as he posted a video throwing and working out with them on his personal YouTube page:

To see Carr already building that chemistry with his new weapons will be a huge positive for the Raiders when they report to minicamp, which could be just around the corner.

In addition to the new faces, the Raiders also return quality weapons like Darren Waller, Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, Zay Jones and Josh Jacobs at running back, of course, which should make for a huge improvement on the offensive side of the ball.

Keeping up with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West won’t be easy, but the Raiders are much more equipped to do so after this offseason. It will now just be up to Carr to get it done on the field to prove all of his doubters wrong.
