Raiders Rumors: Antonio Brown To See Foot Specialist After Missing Another Training Camp Practice

Training Camp for the Oakland Raiders did not get off to a good start as far as injuries go as their big offseason acquisition, Antonio Brown, began camp on the non-football injury list with an undisclosed foot injury.

The injury was not believed to be serious and Brown passed his physical and returned to practice the very next day, which was a good sign for the Raiders.

Brown has been on and off the practice field over the last week since then, so despite passing the physical, it appears the foot was still giving him issues. Brown posted an Instagram story of his feet that has since been deleted, but it definitely looked like something was wrong.

Considering it is still early in Training Camp and the team cannot afford to lose their star player this early, the Raiders are not taking any chances. Vic Tafur of The Athletic is reporting that Brown is seeing a foot specialist:

Just learned that receiver Antonio Brown is seeing a foot specialist today #Raiders

It is still unclear how Brown injured himself, but the Raiders catching it early will hopefully ensure that it is nothing serious and he will still be ready for the start of the regular season. Until he sees the foot specialist and gets diagnosed though, it is hard to say if it’s a serious injury or not.

The Raiders made a lot of roster changes this offseason, particularly on the offensive side of the ball as they completely overhauled their wide receiving corps. In addition to Brown, the team also brought in Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, Ryn Grant and Hunter Renfrow.

Quarterback Derek Career certainly has his work cut out for him helping these guys learn the playbook and developing chemistry, so Brown being out for an extended period of time would not be ideal.
