Antonio Brown’s first training camp with the Oakland Raiders has not gotten off to a good start as he reported to Napa with foot issues that were later identified as frostbite due to not wearing proper footwear in a cryotherapy machine.
Brown was only able to get through one practice before being sidelined, and he has now been away from the team for a few days as he continues to get healthy.
While there is obviously concern regarding the star wideout considering a lot about what he is dealing with is unknown to the public, it does not appear that the Raiders are in panic mode yet.
Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that Brown is expected to not only return to the team soon but also to return to the field:

The Raiders wide receiver is expected to rejoin the club at its training camp headquarters in the near future, a team official said.
This report is contradictory to the one that Chase Williams of WPXI in Pittsburgh put out earlier this week:
10 practices into training camp and Antonio Brown has already gone “radio silent” with the Raiders. They have zero clue where he is or what the progress of the foot injury is.

Gehlken was able to speak with someone inside the organization though who confirmed that is not the case:
A report from a Pittsburgh television anchor on Thursday stated Brown has gone “radio silent” from the team and the Raiders have “zero clue where he is or what the progress of the foot injury is.” He hasn’t, and they do. Based on conversations before that tweet was posted, that report does not reflect the thinking of those inside the Raiders organization.
Brown is expected back shortly.
This is obviously not the way that Brown and the Raiders hoped his tenure with the team would start off, but there is still plenty of time before the start of the regular season for him to get healthy and on the field.
While getting reps with his new teammates, specifically quarterback Derek Carr, is important, Brown was unlikely to play any preseason games regardless, so getting him 100 percent healthy is the most important thing right now.
The Raiders open up the preseason on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams and then return to the practice field on Monday, so it would not be surprising to see Brown back out there with his teammates as early as next week.
