After an encouraging win over the Houston Texans last week, the Las Vegas Raiders looked like they might be turning the corner. But after an embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Saints, a lot of questions are arising, and one Raiders legend, in particular, feels that something needs to happen.

The Raiders were shutout in New Orleans on Sunday, totaling just 183 yards in their 24-0 loss to the Saints. It was an especially abysmal performance considering the Saints defense came into the game as one of the worst defenses in the league in terms of points allowed, and Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown is looking for some answers.

In the midst of disappointing performance, Brown took to Twitter proclaiming that something just is not right with the Raiders right now:

@Raiders All I can say is something ain’t right!!!

In this game in particular, one could argue that nothing was right. In all of the Raiders’ previous losses, the team was in the game with a chance to win, but in New Orleans, there were just no positives to take away.

Derek Carr threw for only 101 yards, with Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow each catching just one pass. And with the team falling behind early, Josh Jacobs got just 10 carries as the Raiders went away from what was working best with their offense. Things weren’t any better defensively as Alvin Kamara totaled 158 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns while the Raiders defense failed to sack Andy Dalton even once.

Tim Brown is absolutely right in that something isn’t right with the Raiders, the question is, what can the team do to fix it? The Raiders now find themselves at 2-5 on the season, last place in the AFC West, and multiple games out of the playoffs. While it is still early enough to make a run, head coach Josh McDaniels has to figure something out quickly.

There have been some positives, particularly with Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams’ performance through much of the season, and the schedule is favorable for the next few weeks. But if the team keeps playing like this, it won’t matter who the Raiders face, they won’t come out with the result they are looking for.
