This season Maxx Crosby solidified himself as one of the best defensive players in the entire NFL. The Las Vegas Raiders star totaled 90 tackles, a league-leading 23 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, 31 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles on his way to being an All-Pro Second Team selection and a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.
Making it even more impressive is that Crosby did this while battling through injuries all season long and now he is getting all of that fixed in the offseason.
A couple of weeks ago Crosby had surgery on his knee as he had been playing through a bursa injury since Week 2. Now Crosby has also undergone surgery on his right hand as well, via Tashan Reed of The Athletic:

It is abundantly clear that Maxx Crosby is an absolute pillar for this Raiders franchise going forward and he is committed to bringing this team back to glory. The fact that he could be so effective while playing through multiple injuries shows not only his level of talent but also his desire to be the absolute best and not let anything stop him from dominating.
The good news is that Crosby was able to get these issues taken care of early in the offseason, so he will have plenty of time to rehab, heal up and start preparing for next year when he will surely be one of the favorites to win Defensive Player of the Year.
Of course Crosby is more focused on team success at this stage and he has made his desires known of wanting to be in big-time playoff games with the Raiders. If the rest of the team follows his lead and the front office makes the right moves this offseason, he could very well get his wish next season.
Maxx Crosby promises Raiders will be in big playoff games soon
Maxx Crosby, like everyone else around the country, has been watching all of the exciting NFL playoff games, and it is only making him hungry to experience that for himself and the Raiders.
During Sunday’s conference championship games, Crosby took to social media, saying he can’t wait to be able to play in those types of games before finishing it “It Will Happen.”
While Crosby is receiving his rightful individual acknowledgments, his focus is on playing in the biggest games possible, and he will do everything in his power to get the Raiders to that level.
