Ever since the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit the United States and shut down sports and businesses across the country, the Las Vegas Raiders have done some tremendous work to help out in the community.
Raiders owner Mark Davis led the way by pledging $1 million to the local community in Las Vegas, where the organization just moved to this offseason.
Cornerbacks Nevin Lawson and Trayvon Mullen then followed suit by partnering to donate meals to coronavirus response teams in their hometown in Florida.
Now, it was Raiders running back Jalen Richard’s turn as he is funding gas cards for food delivery volunteers in his home state of Louisiana, via the NFLPA:

In a time of need, it is nice to see the Raiders players and organization doing what they can to help out people in need.
Richard signed a two-year extension to remain with the Raiders this offseason, continuing his career with the team that signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2016 out of Southern Mississippi.
He will once again be the primary backup to Josh Jacobs in 2020, mainly spelling him in passing situations, which has been his biggest strength since coming into the league.
The NFL’s current plan is for the 2020 season to start on time, so hopefully, the country can continue fighting to get the coronavirus pandemic under control and by the time September rolls around, football can be played as scheduled.
