The Las Vegas Raiders have high hopes for a playoff berth in the 2021 NFL season. Fortunately, it appears they plan on having a packed house at Allegiant Stadium to help make it come to fruition.
CEO and President of MGM Resorts International Bill Hornbuckle announced that Allegiant Stadium will not have any restrictions on fan attendance next season. Reports indicate that Governor Steve Sisolak plans to allow full capacity at sporting events starting June 1 if COVID-19 numbers continue to fall.
The news has clearly given fans and players alike good reason to be excited. Quarterback Derek Carr is among those relishing in the prospect of having a full house at Allegiant Stadium.
Carr recently took part in the MGM Resorts Championship Pro-Am alongside wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. He is admittedly looking forward to regaining the home-field advantage next season, via Kevaney Martin of 8NewsNow.

Carr’s comments are certainly understandable given the restrictions that had been in place last year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While the rest of the league will also be regaining a home-field advantage, there are few fan bases as passionate as the one in Las Vegas.
Luckily, the NFL will have a blueprint to follow after Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers started operating at full capacity starting in April. This should help pay some major dividends to ensure that football does not suffer any potential setbacks leading up to the scheduled start of the 2021 campaign.
Carr and company got off to a promising start with a 6-3 record to begin the season. Unfortunately, another late-season meltdown ultimately saw their playoff chances slip away from their grasp.
Carr hopes that the energy provided by fans in the stands will provide just the kind of spark they need.
