Raiders News: Allegiant Stadium To Feature 5G Network

The Oakland Raiders are set to usher in a new era when they kick off the 2020 NFL season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The Raiders have clearly spared no expense to provide fans with a state-of-the-art venue and a luxury experience. This was evidenced by their recent renderings regarding the plans for the inside of the stadium.

Of course, the new arena in Las Vegas is not simply going to just look the part. They will be making sure that it comes with all the bells and whistles as well.

According to Bailey Schulz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, they plan to have a 5G network that will provide fans with a better in-game experience:

“It’s going to make augmented reality that much better, more responsive. Your phone will be able to recognize things through your camera better,” he said. “You’ll be able to see things in real time.”

Team president Marc Badain is confident that the feature will help to kick things up a notch in Las Vegas:

5G is expected to have a major impact on stadiums in Las Vegas, which is working to establish itself as the sports capital of the U.S.

“I think it’s going to impact our stadium and all stadiums,” said Raiders president Marc Badain. “The opportunities 5G opens up for the in-game experience is pretty exciting.”

The Raiders have clearly put an emphasis on providing the best fan experience possible. This approach is certainly understandable considering they will be trying to make their presence felt in a city where there is no shortage of entertaining things to do.

Having this level of wireless technology will have a profound impact on how games are watched from the arena, at home, or even the way that they are betted on. Although the Raiders are known for being one of the NFL’s most historic teams, they are now one of the frontrunners in bringing in a new era of innovation to the NFL.
