Raiders News: Allegiant Stadium Officially Sold Out Of Personal Seat Licenses

The Oakland Raiders will soon be a team on the move. With their final season in Oakland completed, the team will pack it up and move to their new home in Las Vegas this summer.

Raiders owner Mark Davis’ decision to move the team came with a lot of scrutiny, but with Oakland unwilling to help him build a new stadium, he really was left with no other choice.

The team’s new home, Allegiant Stadium, is still under construction and promises to be one of the finer venues in the NFL. The buzz around the Raiders has led to excellent pre-sale tickets. The Raiders offered personal seat licenses to fans who want to have season tickets and according to Raiders president Marc Badain, those offers are officially sold out, via Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

If you were holding out to land a personal seat license (PSL) for Raiders games at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, time’s up.

Raiders President Marc Badain said Wednesday PSLs for the 65,000-seat, $2 billion stadium are sold out.

Because of the increased and somewhat unexpected ticket sales, the Raiders and city of Las Vegas were able to reinvest that money to make the stadium even nicer with some new additions:

The robust PSL sales have seen the budget increase by $228 million over original estimates, from $250 million to $478 million, according to the latest financial report provided by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority.

That money has been infused into the stadium, adding new features such as additional suites, a 26,000-square-foot field-level club, upgraded fixtures and art and an upgraded internet connection.

It is hard not to be excited when the buzz around the Raiders has only continued to grow. The team has continued to create positive relationships with local Las Vegas institutions as they prepare for the move. The Raiders along with the NFL Grassroots program recently provided a grant for a new turf field at a local high school.

PSLs allow fans to purchase the rights to a particular seat for Raiders game, provided that fan also purchases season tickets. There is a one-time fee for a PSL and the rights to the seat can be revoked if the fan fails to purchase season tickets. Prices for the Raiders’ PSLs ranged from $500 to $75,000.
