Maxx Crosby Calls Out Lil Jon After Picture Of Rapper In Chiefs Gear Surfaces

The 2022 season was filled with hope and optimism for the Las Vegas Raiders, but that was all but gone near the end of the year when it was clear they would be missing the postseason yet again.

It’s a frustrating stretch for the Raiders, who have not won a playoff game since 2002 when they bear the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game. For the Silver and Black faithful, they’ve had to endure one too many losing seasons and instead see rivals like the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowls in the meantime.

This year’s postseason is no different as Las Vegas is forced to watch a team like the Chiefs play their way back to the AFC Championship Game, where they have a good chance of winning and proceeding to Super Bowl LVII. Patrick Mahomes is clearly the best quarterback in the NFL, and he’s got Kansas City well-positioned to win yet another championship.

Despite their lack of success, the Raiders boast a dedicated and fervent fan base which, up until recently, seemed to include rapper, Lil Jon. However, it appears that relationship has taken a turn for the worse as Lil Jon was seen wearing Chiefs gear, something that Maxx Crosby voiced his displeasure about via his Twitter account:

Yeah he’s cut. https://t.co/k375XGTCeD

The Atlanta rapper performed during halftime at Allegiant Stadium last year when Las Vegas beat the Los Angeles Chargers 35-32, sending the team to the Wild Card round. He had been supportive of the franchise from that point, saying that he had been attending games throughout the year, much to the delight of the players and the fans.

However, this is not the first time a celebrity has flipped their fandom to another team, so it’s hardly a surprise to see Lil Jon rooting for a Super Bowl favorite in the Chiefs. The Raiders still have their fair share of famous fans to lean on, but it’s a reminder that they’ve got a long way to go to compete with the best teams.

This offseason will be an interesting one for Las Vegas, especially if Kansas City does win it all again. The AFC West is only getting more difficult, and the Raiders have got more questions than answers at this point of their offseason. How they navigate those questions is anybody’s guess, but hopefully, it results in more wins next year.
