Los Angeles Dodgers Hire Lorenzo Sciarrino As Senior Vice President Of Global Partnerships

The Los Angeles Dodgers hired Lorenzo Sciarrino as their senior vice president of global partnerships in what marks a return to the franchise. The role calls for Sciarrino to lead the team’s global sponsorship department, supervising and engineering franchise partnerships with businesses domestically and internationally.

Sciarrino previously spent 12 years with the Dodgers, culminating in his role as vice president of corporate partnerships. During that time he helped architect a refined go-to-market partnership sales strategy that resulted in historic revenue growth for the Dodgers.

“Lorenzo is a highly regarded leader in his field,” Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement.

“He has an incredible grasp of the complex sports ecosystem that features worldwide sponsorship at its center and dynamic business opportunities in its orbit. We are thrilled to welcome him back to the Dodgers and can’t wait to see what he brings back to the organization.”

Sciarrino, a Pennsylvania native, received his bachelor of science degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

He most recently served as vice president of corporate partnerships within the property solutions division at WME Sports, which is part of the Endeavor network. Sciarrino assisted with jewel asset sales representation (including jersey patches and naming rights) and provided strategic consulting services to teams, leagues, venues and governing bodies.

Sciarrino additionally was responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the vast Endeavor portfolio of companies that included WME, IMG and the UFC, among others.

Prior to joining WME Sports, Sciarrino was the vice President of global partnerships for Legends, the premium experiences company that delivers holistic solutions for sports and entertainment properties. Sciarrino managed partnership sales efforts on behalf of the L.A. Stadium & Entertainment District at Hollywood Park, and was part of a team effort to secure one naming rights of SoFi Stadium.

Dodgers’ global presence

While the Dodgers have long held an international presence, that seemingly could grow in 2024 and beyond.

The San Diego Padres and Dodgers are scheduled to open the 2024 MLB season with the Seoul Series in South Korea from March 20-21, and marketing and sponsorship opportunities could further increase if they were to sign Shohei Ohtani in free agency.
