There are always a number of giveaways throughout the NBA season in which Los Angeles Lakers fans can receive apparel or memorabilia that won’t be given out anywhere else otherwise. The Lakers have already unveiled a Luka Doncic bobblehead that celebrates his scoring title from last year, and now the team has released another giveaway.

On Nov. 18, the Lakers will host the Utah Jazz and with it being Los Angeles Dodgers night, the team unveiled a Lakers x Dodgers baseball-style jersey they will be giving out to all fans in attendance:

The jersey is a great looking one that combines old school looks from the early history of both historic franchises. The old blue color scheme is one that the Lakers had when they were in Minneapolis and when they first moved to Los Angeles back in 1960. And the Dodgers did wear pinstripes back in their early days as well while still in Brooklyn.

The jersey also features a Dodgers logo on the front and a Lakers one on the back with alternate logos from each franchise on the sleeves as well. It is truly a great looking homage to the two historic franchises.

Both the Lakers and Dodgers are staples of the Los Angeles area and are the two most popular sports franchises in Southern California. They have been linked for many years, with each hosting a night honoring the other every year and stars from each franchise in the stands to support the other regularly. They were then linked even further when Mark Walter purchased the Lakers, though that didn’t last too long as he has already sold the team.

The two franchises are in different spots now as the Dodgers are the two-time defending World Series champions and by the time this game takes place, hopefully will be celebrating a third. The Lakers, meanwhile, are looking to return to that championship level behind Doncic and will be looking to put on a show for all those in attendance on November 18.

Lakers unveil Austin Reaves bobblehead for December 27

Doncic isn’t the only Lakers player who will be receiving a bobblehead this season as his backcourt partner and best friend on the team Austin Reaves will also be receiving one on Dec. 27 when the Lakers host the Memphis Grizzlies.
