Beginning on May 19, Roku will become the home for MLB Sunday Leadoff games after securing the exclusive rights earlier this month.

Roku is taking the place of fellow streaming service Peacock as the home for MLB Sunday Leadoff, who held the rights for each of the past two seasons.

Chip Caray (play-by-play), Will Middlebrooks (analyst) and Alexa Datt (reporter) will be the inaugural broadcast team calling this Sunday’s game between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be featured on Roku for their Sept. 1 matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. It marks L.A.’s only appearance on the platform this season.

Roku telecasts will be produced in collaboration with MLB, and broadcast teams are set to be market-focused. Roku is also implementing some new changes to the format with MLB Zone, which will serve as a hub for viewers to discover live and upcoming games, nightly recaps and highlights.

Among other additions is the MLB FAST channel, which will provide around the clock content such as including up-to-date highlights, MLB Game of the Week replays, Minor League Baseball game replays and other baseball content.

How to watch Dodgers on Roku

The Roku Channel is widely available to stream for free, with no subscription or sign-up required. Viewers can watch it on Roku devices or TVs, TheRokuChannel.com, and through the Roku app on iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TVs, Samsung TVs and Google TVs and other Android TV OS devices.

In addition, paying subscribers of MLB.TV can watch all 18 matchups blackout free from anywhere in the world.

“With free games available to anyone, MLB games on Roku will be widely accessible to fans,” MLB deputy commissioner of business and media Noah Garden said. “Since Roku serves as an entertainment gateway for millions, this partnership offers a valuable new promotional and distribution platform for MLB games and content.”
