Dodgers Video: Lakers All-Star LeBron James Wears Jackie Robinson Shirt At Las Vegas Summer League

The Los Angeles sports scene is currently potentially the best it has ever been as the Dodgers have the best record in baseball and look poised to reach the World Series for the third straight year.

There’s also the Rams and Chargers, both of whom are expected to be Super Bowl contenders in 2019, and the same can be said for the Lakers and Clippers after the former acquired one superstar in Anthony Davis this summer and the latter added two in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

In addition to Davis, the Lakers also have LeBron James, of course, and other nice pieces on the roster despite pursuing Leonard and watching him sign with the Clippers late in free agency.

The Lakers are currently playing in the annual Las Vegas Summer League, and as is usually the case, the team’s stars were there to support the young players. James, Davis and Kyle Kuzma were all sitting courtside for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Clippers at the Thomas & Mack Center.

James was sporting some attire that Dodgers fans would be proud of as he wore a black Jackie Robinson t-shirt that had the franchise legend’s signature on it. James has been very outspoken in regards to social issues throughout the course of his career, following in Robinson’s footsteps as he broke the Major League Baseball color barrier in 1947.

Since signing with the Lakers a year ago, James has not attended a game at Dodger Stadium, so it will be interesting to see if he or Davis make it out to Chavez Ravine at all this season. James has provided his support from afar, including wearing a Dodgers cap on multiple occasions.

It has been a while since the city of Los Angeles has had a championship parade, but the potential of one happening within the next year is growing larger by the day.
