One of the first things on the agenda for many baseball fans that visit Dodger Stadium is ordering the famed Dodger Dog. For decades it was produced by Farmer John and sold in millions each season.
While the Dodger Dog can still be found at the ballpark this season, Farmer John recently confirmed it is no longer the supplier after being unable to agree to a new contract with the Dodgers.
Retired Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Vin Scully was once the voice of Farmer John Dodger Dogs, advertising them on the radio and television. He took to Twitter to share a catchphrase he said when broadcast partner Jerry Doggett took his hot dog:
Farmer John Dodger Dogs remind me of my broadcast partner of 32 years, Jerry Doggett. In some ads we did together, he’d take my hot dog and I’d say “Doggone that Doggett.” All in fun of course. Jerry was a great friend. https://t.co/R3ifhGMxnM

Former Dodgers pitcher Rick Sutcliffe responded to Scully and shared one of his favorite Farmer John Dodger Dogs memories that involved Tommy Lasorda:
They got me in trouble too Vinny? 1st inning in the @Dodgers bullpen eating a Double Dodger Dog! Life was GREAT! Phone rings “Pitcher is hurt Sut ur in” I take 1 more bite before running to the mound. Before I threw a pitch Lasorda’s cussing me? Mustard n Relish on my shoulder? https://t.co/6WP6eh6xGW

The Dodgers have not yet announced who their current hot dog supplier is, but are expected to do so soon.
To most, the only noticeable difference is Farmer John signage being stripped from menus at concession stands, and they are no longer permitted to produce or sell Dodger Dogs due to the Dodgers holding the trademark.
Dodger Stadium food
Still operating at a reduced capacity because of health protocols, the Dodgers haven’t fully opened in terms of concession stands within the stadium. They did provide fans with more offerings for their most recent homestand, including Bao and Bowls in center field, and Lil’ Sweet Chick on the field level.
