Mookie Betts is going to be mic’d up for the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball broadcast of the series finale between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres on May 7. First pitch at Petco Park is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. PT.

Karl Ravech is on the call for play-by-play duties, and the Sunday Night Baseball broadcast crew will include analysts David Cone and Eduardo Perez, along with reporter Buster Olney. SportsNet LA will not have its own coverage of the game.

Sunday Night Baseball will additionally be available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes, with Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Álvarez, Guillermo Celis and Enrique Rojas providing commentary and analysis.

“Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown” precedes Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN with one-hour pregame shows at 3 p.m. PT every week. All Sunday Night Baseball games and shows will be available to stream via the ESPN App.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts have previously featured Bryce Harper, Francisco Lindor, Ozzie Albies, Joey Votto and Kiké Hernandez getting during their respective games.

The highlights of in-game player interviews are posted to ESPN, so fans who missed them can still check out the best moments.

In 2020, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts pushed back against the idea of his players doing interviews mid-game and seemed to shut them down moving forward, but that may have been geared specifically toward them in the postseason.

The Dodgers are facing the Padres for the first time this season, and it could prove to be an important series. They’ve split the first two matchups at Petco Park and the atmosphere has mirrored that of postseason games.

Mookie Betts on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball

Last year, the Dodgers had Justin Turner mic’d up for ESPN in May, Trea Turner on Peacock in August, and Betts for a Sunday Night Baseball game in September. Betts memorably revealed he and rapper Nelly regularly play pool together.
