Kiké Hernández is a free agent for the second time in his career after a resurgent second half of the 2023 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Hernández batted .262/.308/.423 with 12 doubles, five home runs and 30 RBI in his return to L.A. after being traded by the Boston Red Sox at the deadline.

The utility man also displayed his usual versatility as he appeared at seven different positions this past season. Hernández saw most of his time at second base, but has extensive experience in center field.

Hernández said he is open to re-signing with the Dodgers, and a reunion certainly seems plausible. His success against left-handed pitching, versatility and clubhouse presence makes him a strong candidate to return as the team looks to fill out their bench

The 32-year-old had double hernia surgery in October and is on track to make a full recovery in time for Spring Training.
