Prior to the 2024 MLB season officially getting underway, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home ballpark welcomed the return of the Dodger Stadium College Baseball Classic on Sunday.

Dodger Stadium has played host to a wide array of events over recent years, including several concerts such as Beyoncé, Elton John, Jonas Brothers, BLACKPINK and more.

With the Dodger Stadium College Baseball Classic, fans had the opportunity to watch four powerhouse programs in doubleheader action.

The matchups started with the University of Michigan taking on the University of San Diego at 10:30 a.m. PT. The second game was between UCLA against U.C. Irvine at 3:00 p.m. PT.

In prior years, the annual meeting between USC and UCLA would have taken place, but the Trojans aren’t taking part.

UCLA went 2-1 in the 2019 Dodger Stadium College Baseball Classic, and following a loss to Michigan, defeated USC in their middle game.

Their final game came against Oklahoma State, and after going down by two runs in the fourth inning, they rallied to score five runs. Defeating the Cowboys by a score of 6-3, UCLA came away on a hot streak during the 2019 weekend.
