Major League Baseball announced first pitch in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves is set for 3:05 p.m. PT on Tuesday and will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

The Game 3 start time at Globe Life Field on Wednesday has also been scheduled for 3:05 p.m. and will be shown on Fox Sports 1 as well. It marks the first time the Dodgers will play that early this postseason, which is some sense is a positive considering how late most of their games have started.

Game 2 is a big one for the Dodgers after they were defeated 5-1 in Game 1 on Monday night. The Dodgers’ bats stayed quiet for most of the loss, while the Braves broke through for four runs in the ninth inning to seal the victory.

The last time L.A. was in the NLCS in 2018, Game 1 also didn’t go well against the Milwaukee Brewers and they still won the series in seven games.

Game 2’s pitching matchup will feature two guys on opposite ends of the spectrum in Clayton Kershaw and Ian Anderson. Kershaw has a ton of postseason experience with mixed results, obviously, while Anderson is a rookie that has only made eight career Major League starts.

Two of those came in the postseason, where he has been awesome, tossing a combined 11.2 shutout innings against the Cincinnati Reds and Miami Marlins.

Game times for rest of series still unknown

While MLB did release the start times for Games 2 and 3 of the NLCS, the start times for the rest of the series remain unknown.

It likely will depend on the results of the American League Championship Series, which the Tampa Bay Rays already have a 2-0 lead over the Houston Astros. They get the primetime slot for the next two nights but it could shift back to the Dodgers and Braves for Games 4 and 5 if that series ends the next two days.
