In addition to players and coaches receiving their 2020 World Series ring earlier this month, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been presenting one to several individuals with longstanding ties to the organization.
The latest recipient is Alanna Rizzo, who spent seven seasons covering the team for SportsNet LA. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Kenley Jansen and Justin Turner were among players and coaches who congratulated Rizzo in a video posted by the team’s Twitter account.
Rizzo was featured at the end of the clip, where she referred to herself as a “humble benefactor” of the Dodgers’ hard work and greatest accomplishment. Rizzo stepped away from her role as Dodgers reporter after the 2020 season.
During her time with the team, she was present for all road games, attended the annual Winter Meetings, assisted with SportsNet LA studio coverage and also provided a “Rizzo Report” for AM 570 L.A. Sports Radio.
Thank you to the @Dodgers for including me in this honor. This organization is first class. I’m a humble benefactor of their greatest achievement. GRATEFUL BEYOND MEASURE. https://t.co/ybWTAzcoPl

The Dodgers held a special ceremony earlier this week for employees to receive their 2020 World Series ring, and among the group included Jaime Jarrín, Jon SooHoo and Ned Colletti.
Colletti was the Dodgers’ former general manager and drafted several of the players who are now stars. SooHoo has been the team’s photographer since 1985, and Jaime Jarrín is in his 63rd season as a Spanish-language broadcaster.
The Dodgers previously presented Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully and Kiké Hernandez with a 2020 World Series ring as well.
