With how the 2022 season has gone for the Los Angeles Rams, there isn’t much to celebrate.

Multiple star players have been placed on IR, derailing any possibility of a Super Bowl defense. Aside from the Rams missing stars like Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald, the offensive line has also taken a massive beating as there’s been a new combination almost every week this year.

One lineman who saw his 2022 campaign end early was Tremayne Anchrum, who fractured his fibula in Week 2. Anchrum hasn’t appeared in a Rams uniform since, but he is still making an impact off the field. For his efforts he was named the team’s Walter Payton NFL Man Of The Year Award nominee, via TheRams.com:

“I am honored to be nominated for this amazing award, and to even be in the conversation amongst so many people that are doing so many great things around the country and around the world,” said Anchrum Jr. “I’m also thankful for the people who have given me an opportunity to serve because I want to make a difference. It doesn’t matter if it’s me or someone down the street, whether I win the award or not, it’s about coming together to help each other and our community. It doesn’t have to be anything big, but meaningful actions taken from the goodness of your heart. If we all came together and asked how we can make the world a better place, I think we would get a really good result.”

Anchrum has been involved within the Los Angeles community since being drafted in 2020, volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club Los Angeles. He has also collaborated with several different charitable groups including the Downtown Women’s Center, Hollywood Food Coalition, Set the Expectation, and the People Concern.
