The Las Vegas Raiders are in for a busy offseason as they are loaded with draft picks and cap space to kick start their rebuild.
The team got things started by trading superstar Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round picks, including thw 14th pick in this year’s draft.
Despite the team clearly rebuilding, there still needs to be a veteran presence in the locker room. The Raiders are making sure they have at least one, re-signing cornerback Eric Stokes to a three-year contract, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:
The #Raiders and CB Eric Stokes have agreed to a 3-year, $30M deal, source said, keeping the former first-rounder in Las Vegas. He gets $20M guaranteed.

Stokes originally was a first round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2021 out of Georgia and joined the Raiders last offseason. He had a really solid first season with the team, starting 16 games and recording 53 total tackles with three tackles for loss and five passes defensed.
While the Raiders still have a lot of work to do, this is a solid signing to allow their defense to compete in a division that features a lot of top pass-catching options.
Raiders GM John Spytek ‘always listening’ as teams call about No. 1 pick
While it is expected that the Raiders will take Fernando Mendoza with the top pick, anything is possible and a team could blow them away with a trade offer. At the very least, Raiders general manager John Spytek made it clear that he will listen to any team presenting him with an offer.
