When Cooper Kupp left the Los Angeles Rams game early in Week 11 with a sprained ankle, many immediately thought the worst. Kupp has dealt with injuries over the past couple of seasons and potentially losing him again for any extended period of time would have been awful for Sean McVay’s team.
Thankfully for Kupp and the Rams, the injury seemed to be a minor one. There was no serious damage done, but with sprains it is always a question mark for how long recovery will take. One thing that was never in question was that Kupp would be doing everything possible to be back on the field as soon as possible and it looks like that has paid off.
According to Stu Jackson of Rams.com, McVay announced that Kupp is expected to be good to go for the Rams’ contest this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals:
Sean McVay said WR Cooper Kupp will be good to go for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

This is a big positive for the Rams and their offense as they look to win their second straight game and get back in the playoff race in the NFC. While McVay and the Rams did a good job of staying afloat when Kupp was injured earlier this season, there is no questioning that they would much rather have their star receiver on the field.
While Kupp hasn’t quite gotten back to the level he performed at over the past couple of years, he remains a vital piece of this Rams offense. His pairing with rookie Puka Nacua gives McVay one of the better wide receiver duos to work with and the Rams need all of their weapons available if they plan on taking down the Cardinals in this divisional matchup.
Arizona has looked better over the last couple of weeks since starting quarterback Kyler Murray returned and the Rams will need to put up some points if they want to come away with a win. Having Kupp in the lineup increases that possibility, especially if he can match his performance from the first time these two teams met this season.
Kupp had his best game of the year with seven catches for 148 yards and his lone touchdown catch of the season in a 26-9 Rams win. Another game like that should lead to another victory for the Rams and re-establishing Kupp amongst the game’s top receivers.
