The Los Angeles Lakers have two All-Stars this year with Luka Doncic being the leading vote-getter amongst all players and LeBron James being named as a reserve for the first time, extending his All-Star streak to an NBA-record 22 seasons.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be under a new format with a Team USA vs. World. There will be three rosters with eight players each. Two will be with American-born players while the third will be the international roster and all three squads will face off in a round-robin style tournament.

Each team will face off in three separate 12-minute games and the two teams with the best record will face off in the fourth and final game to crown the All-Star Game winner.

This format also means that Doncic and James will face off against each other at least once on All-Star Weekend and perhaps even twice if their two teams make the final game.

Doncic, of course, will be on the international roster, which features most of whom many would consider the best players in the NBA today. Reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Canada), former 3-time MVP Nikola Jokic (Serbia) and phenom Victor Wembanyama (France) are among the All-Stars leading the World team, which will be coached by Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic.

LeBron will be on the USA Stripes team alongside the likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Jalen Brunson Kawhi Leonard and others. This team will be coached by Mitch Johnson of the San Antonio Spurs.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Feb. 15 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. The game will start at 2 p.m. PT and will air on NBC and Peacock, an early start time that past years.
