The Los Angeles Dodgers are back in a familiar position as National League West champions and with a first-round bye in the postseason.
As the No. 2 division winner, the Dodgers earned an automatic spot and home-field advantage in the NL Division Series. They are spending this week going through workouts while awaiting the winner of the Wild Card Series matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.
The Braves finished as the No. 3 division champion in the NL, while the Phillies are playing October baseball by way of the final Wild Card spot. Philadelphia suffered a late-season slide but held off the Arizona Diamondbacks and clinched their playoff berth by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays on the final day of the regular season.
Atlanta is hosting the best-of-three Wild Card round at Truist Park, beginning with Game 1 on Tuesday.
If the Braves advance, they will face the Dodgers in a playoff series for the fifth time since 2013. It would represent the third NLDS meeting between Atlanta and L.A. during that span, but first such matchup since 2018.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers eliminated the Phillies in four games of the 2025 NLDS. However, that postseason meeting was the first between the teams since 2009. The Dodgers and Phillies squared off in the NLCS back-to-back years from 2008-09.
The Dodgers went just 1-5 against the Braves this season, but won four of six against the Phillies.
Regardless of who advances, all Dodgers NLDS games will air live on Fox or FS1, and be available for streaming.
