The Los Angeles Dodgers were selected for eight national TV broadcasts on Fox or FS1 for the 2023 regular season, beginning with a matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, April 29.
That game will be televised on FS1 at 6:10 p.m. PT. The Dodgers’ other FS1 game comes on August 5 at 5:40 p.m. PT against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park, which will also be broadcasted on Fox Deportes.
On May 20 and July 15, the Dodgers will be on the road to face the Cardinals and New York Mets respectively, with both games being shown only on Fox.
The other four matchups will be broadcasted on both Fox and Fox Deportes, which include matchups against the Padres on May 13, the New York Yankees on June 3, the Houston Astros on June 24 and the Kansas City Royals on July 1.
All of the games being shown on Fox have a scheduled start time of 4:15 p.m. PT. They are among the games that will be televised exclusively by Fox for a national audience as part of their “Baseball Night in America” programming.
The two FS1 broadcasts will be carried by SportsNet LA as well.
There are a few dates remaining on the schedule Fox and FS1 have yet to determine games for, which means the Dodgers could find themselves on at least one more nationally televised game. These days all come in September on the 14th, 21st and 30th.
All games are simulcast on the Fox Sports app, which provides live streaming video of the network’s content through iOS and Android devices.
Fox is now in its 28th season of MLB coverage with a lead broadcast team of Joe Davis, John Smoltz, Tom Verducci and Ken Rosenthal. Davis took over for Joe Buck, who joined ESPN, last year and has continued to call games for the Dodgers.
Davis called his first World Series matchup last season when the Houston Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies and said it was a special experience. It was the first time in more than two decades that the Fall Classic was not called by Buck.
Davis’ work calling games with Fox continued this season with the 2023 World Baseball Classic, which saw Team Japan defeat Team USA in the championship game to claim their third title in the tournament.
