The Los Angeles Dodgers made their third round of Spring Training roster cuts on Monday, sending eight players to Minor League camp.

Paul Gervase and Michael Siani are on the team’s 40-man roster, so they were optioned. Non-roster invitees Cole Irvin, Ryder Ryan, Noah Miller, Zach Ehrhard, Zyhir Hope and James Tibbs III were reassigned to Minor League camp.

The aforementioned players are still eligible to participate in Cactus League games despite being removed from the Major League clubhouse. The Dodgers wrap up their Spring Training schedule in Arizona on Saturday.

Hope, one of the Dodgers’ top prospects, is among the most notable cuts. He hit just .179/.238/.231 with two doubles in 42 plate appearances across 21 Cactus League games.

Gervase, who was acquired by the Dodgers at the MLB trade deadline last year, posted a 2.89 ERA in eight Cactus League appearances. Siani, who is more known for his defense, struggled offensively in 15 games this spring.

Meanwhile, Ehrhard and Tibbs both impressed in their first Spring Training with the Dodgers after being acquired in the deal that sent Dustin May to the Boston Red Sox last year.

Irvin struggled in four Cactus League outings (two starts), while Ryder Ryan, the older brother of River, found more success in seven games (two starts). Miller hit .270/.372/.405 with two doubles, one home run and five RBI over 21 games while making five starts at shortstop.

Dodgers’ Spring Training roster after latest cuts

The Dodgers’ Spring Training roster now stands at 43 players, including 23 pitchers and 20 position players. That total does not include Kiké Hernández and Evan Phillips, who remain in camp but are on the 60-day injured list.

With their latest moves, the only non-roster invitees remaining in big league camp are Chris Campos, Eliezer Alfonzo, Seby Zavala, Santiago Espinal, Ryan Fitzgerald and Nick Senzel. Of the group, Espinal is the only player expected to make the Dodgers’ Opening Day roster.
