The NFL legal tampering period is underway, and with it has brought plenty of reported free-agent signings and trades ahead of the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
While the Los Angeles Rams have yet to make an addition, they are facing the prospect of losing a couple of key contributors on defense.
The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly set to sign Michael Brockers to a three-year contract, while the Las Vegas Raiders have additionally reached an agreement with Cory Littleton on a three-year pact as well.
Further turnover could on the horizon for the Rams as they look to perhaps shed some expensive contracts and free up cap space. The team is reportedly looking into trading All-Pro running back Todd Gurley, which has sparked plenty of speculation on social media.
As Gurley’s name surfaces in trade talks, many people have taken notice that he has unfollowed the Rams on Instagram, via RamsToday:

Gurley is coming off a solid, but somewhat disappointing 2019 season by his standards. He appeared in 15 games, rushing for 857 yards and 12 touchdowns on 223 carries.
He also added 207 yards and two touchdowns through the air, catching 31 of his 49 targets. The Rams limited his workload early on as a result of his arthritic knee condition.
Gurley still has four more seasons on his contract with the Rams after signing a big extension a couple of years ago. He has a cap hit of a little more than $17 million in 2020, followed by $13 million, $14 million and $12 million the three years after that.
The Rams are reportedly looking for draft pick compensation in the second-to-fourth round range from any team that is willing to take on Gurley’s contract.
In addition to Gurley, the Rams could look to trade Brandin Cooks this offseason. The Oregon State product dealt with multiple concussions last season, which resulted in his production dropping considerably from the previous year.
Like Gurley, Cooks’ latest social media activity has added fuel to the fire that he could be traded at some point. Cooks has liked a few tweets on Twitter that hint to him potentially reuniting with free-agent quarterback Tom Brady next season.
