No other details on the suspension were given but the NFL’s personal conduct policy applies to a player’s public image and personal life, and prohibits conduct that could endanger players, damage the league’s reputation, or bring discredit to the sport.

McVay didn’t reveal any more details on the suspension but said they would welcome Jackson back in Week 3, via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic:

The Rams re-signed Jackson to a one-year restricted tender worth $4.89 million during the offseason and he is projected to be the team’s starting left tackle when he returns.

With the suspension, Jackson will miss the Rams’ first two games of the season against the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals on the road. He is slated to return in Week 3 for the team’s home opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

In Jackson’s absence, the Rams will likely turn to Joe Noteboom at left tackle in Weeks 1 and 2. He has filled in at a variety of positions since being drafted by the team in 2018 and at one point was viewed as the heir apparent to Andrew Whitworth.

While it’s unfortunate that Jackson will be temporarily unavailable, the Rams should be able to withstand the void for the first two games on their schedule.
