Los Angeles Rams star cornerback Jalen Ramsey recently got the invite to replace Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay at the re-imagined 2023 Pro Bowl Games. With the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Slay declined to participate, leaving Ramsey his spot.

Ramsey will not only take part in the main event, a series of seven-on-seven flag football games, but he will also compete in other events over the weekend. From Jan. 2-Jan. 5, some of the NFL’s best will compete in various challenges, including a dodgeball match, precision passing and a longest drive competition.

The Rams star is taking part in the dodgeball match as well as the flag football games, according to Stu Jackson of Rams.com:

Rams DB Jalen Ramsey will participate in dodgeball and the 7v7 AFC vs. NFC flag football games as part of this year’s Pro Bowl Games in Las Vegas, it was announced this evening.

Epic Pro Bowl Dodgeball — Ramsey’s first event — takes place on Thursday, Feb. 2 and will be broadcast on ESPN from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. PT. The full list of skills challenges taking place on Thursday is the dodgeball match, the Lightning Round — a three-part competition earning points for a player’s conference — the Longest Drive contest, Precision Passing and the first round of the Best Catch contest.

The festivities continue on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. PT on ESPN and ABC. This includes the finale of the Best Catch contest, Gridiron Gauntlet, Kick Tac Toe, Move the Chains and the flag football games. Ramsey is taking part in the namesake event.

In total, there are 24 points available across the eight events, plus another 12 available points total from the first two flag football games on Sunday (six each for the winning conference).

Then, the points from the skills competitions and first two flag games will be added together, which will be the score at the beginning of the third and final Flag game, which will determine the winning conference for The Pro Bowl Games.

Aaron Donald pokes fun at 49ers NFC Championship Game loss

While Aaron Donald has opted not to be a part of Pro Bowl weekend, he did have some fun on Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

He poked fun at the 49ers’ loss over Twitter towards the tail end of the 31-7 blowout, referencing his Super Bowl victory in early 2022 as well.
