After a disappointing 9-7 season in which they missed the postseason, the Los Angeles Rams will be looking to make a statement when they take the field in 2020.
While the team lost a bunch of veteran players this offseason, they still have plenty of talent on the roster, including star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
The Rams acquired Ramsey in a blockbuster trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the middle of last season, giving them one of the best cover corners in the league. In four NFL seasons, Ramsey has been named to three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team, and he is still just 25 years of age.
Ramsey’s best days are likely still ahead of him, and he made that clear when he took to social media to make a statement ahead of the 2020 NFL season:
It’s almost time for me to clock in & when I’m in that mode, I’m stuck in that mode!! Check the tape, check the numbers when I personally guard ya favorite receiver! I guard straight dawgs too btw so they make sum plays, but I’m LIVING LIKE THAT.. at all times.
ITS ALL GOD

The Rams also have big plans for Ramsey this season as new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley recently said he hopes to move him all around the field in order to make an even bigger impact.
In addition to the impact he will make on the field though, a big storyline of this season will be Ramsey’s looming contract extension. He has already said that he will play this season even without a long-term deal, but both sides have made it clear that they want to make it work.
So hopefully the extension comes sooner rather than later, so Ramsey’s sole focus this season can be on locking down top receivers and helping the Rams get back to the postseason.
