Although the Los Angeles Rams failed to make the postseason after an injury-plagued 2022 campaign, fans and players still had plenty to root for. During Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, it’s likely that the Philadelphia Eagles had plenty of support from the L.A. area as they faced the San Francisco 49ers.

One person who was definitely excited to see the Eagles defeat the 49ers was Rams superstar Aaron Donald. Donald was the best player on a Rams defense that helped to stifle the 49ers in last year’s NFC Championship Game en route to a Super Bowl victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.

So as the Eagles put the finishing touches on their dominant 31-7 victory over the 49ers to clinch their spot in Super Bowl 57, Donald took to social media to relay his feelings.

Donald got to relive the joy of defeating the 49ers and winning the Super Bowl last season by watching the Eagles win with ease. For the second straight year, the 49ers were unable to overcome deficiencies at the quarterback position to get back to the Super Bowl.

Now, the Rams have the full offseason to get healthy, make some improvements along the offensive line and get another run at the NFC West division title over the 49ers. Quarterback controversy may plague San Francisco throughout the offseason, giving the Rams a chance to start strong in 2023.

Donald, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford and Allen Robinson are all going to be healthy once again. If the Rams can add some pieces on the line and get Stafford some extra protection, there is no reason the Rams can’t be a top team in the NFL once again.

Les Snead admits Rams will take conservative approach to offseason

Rams general manager Les Snead made two major points when looking ahead to the offseason. The first was that the team may be look at a more conservative approach to free agency, opting for bargains and improvements along the margins than splashy signings.

The second was — despite being more conservative — that he has no interest in tearing things down and starting over. He referenced the team’s core of stars, saying that all of them are still in the primes of their careers, even if they are in the latter ends of those primes.

But with Donald, Stafford and Kupp all under contract through next season, the Rams still have an opportunity to go for one last run.
