After adding three prospects on the second day of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams did a bulk of their work on Day 3.

Due to a number of trades down, the Rams wound up with an insane 12 picks in rounds 4-7, addressing a variety of roster needs.

Including in that mix is Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett (128th overall), Appalachian State outside linebacker Nick Hampton (161st), Georgia offensive tackle Warren McClendon (174th), Clemson tight end Davis Allen (175th), BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua (177th), TCU cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson (182nd), Nebraska outside linebacker Ochaun Mathis (189th), Ole Miss running back Zach Evans (215th), Wingate punter Ethan Evans (223rd), Oklahoma State safety Jason Taylor (234th), and Toledo defensive lineman Desjuan Johnson (259th), who was this year’s Mr. Irrelevant as the last pick in the draft.

The most notable of this bunch is Bennett, arguably the most decorated quarterback in college football history. The former Georgia signal-caller was a Heisman finalist this past season and led the Bulldogs to back-to-back National Championships, the latter of which came inside SoFi Stadium.

L.A. is without a backup quarterback on its roster, so Bennett will be the favorite to earn that honor behind another Georgia alum in Matthew Stafford.

Some of the other notable picks include some more weapons for Stafford in Allen, Nacua., Evans. Evans is a nice addition in the sixth round as the running back had a fourth-round grade. The Rams also have question marks at tight end behind Tyler Higbee, so Allen will be added to that group.

Additionally, the Rams added the nephew of a former San Diego Chargers great in LaDainian Tomlinson with Hodges-Tomlinson. He plays on the other side of the ball at cornerback though, which was a clear need for the Rams after trading away Jalen Ramsey.

The Rams came into the draft without a specialist on their roster, although they did add a punter in Evans out of a Division 2 school. L.A. still does not have a kicker on its roster so will have to find one from the free agent pool.
