Even though the Las Vegas Raiders have failed to reach their expectations coming into this season, the team has still had some excellent individual performances throughout the year. The offense has been carried by wide receiver Davante Adams and running back Josh Jacobs, while Maxx Crosby has continued to be the motor of the defense.

All three players look to be foundational pieces of the Raiders franchise moving forward and have been amongst the best players at their respective positions this season. And all three were honored by being selected to the 2023 Pro Bowl, according to Raiders Newswire reporter Ryan Ward:

All three players were no-brainer selections to make the Pro Bowl based on their performance this season, but probably least likely coming into the season has been Jacobs. There were rumors coming into the season that Jacobs might be traded away, but he now looks indispensable.

Jacobs is being selected to his second Pro Bowl as he leads the NFL in rushing yards, is fifth in rushing touchdowns, and sixth among running backs in yards per carry. Jacobs is also second in attempts meaning he is being efficient despite his high volume of carries. He has six games of at least 100 yards, including a career-high 229 rushing yards in the Raiders’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Adams has been exactly as advertised after the Raiders traded for him this offseason. Adams is tied for the league lead in receiving TDs with 12, ranks fourth in receiving yards, and is seventh in receptions while ranking third in targets. He has seven games of at least 100 receiving yards despite the Raiders being without their other two Pro Bowl pass catchers in, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow, for much of the season. This is Adams’ sixth consecutive Pro Bowl selection

Likewise, Crosby continues to be an absolute force on the defensive line, and it has led to his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. Crosby leads the NFL in tackles for loss and is second in QB hits while ranking sixth in sacks. Crosby also has four passes defensed and three forced fumbles on the season.

All three players are undoubtedly focused on team success more than anything, but no one can argue that they have done their part to get the Raiders to the next level and come away with as many wins as possible.
