The Los Angeles Rams entered the season with a new quarterback and high expectations. Expectations that were shared by bookmakers as the Rams opened as +1400 to win Super Bowl 56 which will be played in their home stadium early next year. That put them well behind the Kansas City Chiefs at +550 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers +700, but clearly amongst the favorites in the league.

This weekend will be an early test for a Los Angeles team that’s started out the season a perfect 2-0. The Rams will play the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in many belive will be a preview of the NFC Conference Championship Game. Tampa Bay enters as the -1.5 point road favorite and -125 moneyline bet.

These two teams last met back in November of 2020, with the Buccaneers beating the Rams 27-24 in Tampa Bay.

Isaac Bruce Likes Rams Chances

Two weeks ago sports reporter Jack Green interviewed legendary Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce, who praised his old team’s new offense while also noting that his old team would dominate in today’s NFL. Bruce noted that rule changes have contributed to the recent current scoring boom while touching on player safety which he feels has opened up team offenses.

When asked how The Greatest Show on Turf’s numbers would be different had they played in the current era, Bruce didn’t shy away from the question. Boasting that current NFL defenses are handcuffed with the new rules and that his team would have doubled its production in today’s game.

Tampa Bay vs Los Angeles Rams

Despite being a mild underdog in tomorrow’s game and in odds to win the Super Bowl, Bruce is convinced that the Los Angeles Rams are destined to do better, boldly predicting that the team will be playing at home in the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles later this season.

“I’m not just being a homer, but I feel like the Rams have a really big opportunity to play a Super Bowl in their own stadium”

Bruce likes the addition of Matthew Stafford on the offensive side of the ball but is really high on the receiver duo of Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. Bruce feels the pair complement each other the way he and receiver Torry Holt did playing in their primes in St. Louis.

“That’s what I see in Cooper and Robert, they complement each other very well. They play hard for each other. And with the addition of DeSean Jackson, being able to take the top off the defense and open up our running game and give Matthew Stafford even more toys to play with and to push the ball down the field.”

Bruce was recently elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and gave his induction speech last month in a ceremony that honored both the 2020 and 2021 inductees.
