The 2026 Mamba Invitational concluded Sunday night with Team Resilience winning the boys championship game and Team Relentless winning on the girls side. Games were played throughout the weekend on a specially-designed court built onto Peacock Place at L.A. Live and inspired by Kobe Bryant’s legacy.

The fourth annual Mamba Invitational brought together the nation’s top high school basketball athletes who have earned their place through performance, dedication and a relentless pursuit of greatness. A total of 12 teams had an opportunity to participate in the two-day tournament.

Vanessa Bryant and her oldest daughter, Natalia, attended games on Sunday and helped give out championship medals.

Along with putting a spotlight on prep athletes, Nike celebrated the evolution of Kobe’s signature line with the brand. LakersNation.com was among media members invited to a special preview of the “Chick Hearn Experience” last week, which was an immersive gallery that consisted of mixed media installations.

Nike’s creation of the “Chick Hearn Experience” broke down Bryant’s signature line in three distinct acts at the intersection of art and performance.

The Past revisited the original Kobe 1-11 designs, and memorable moments such as scoring 81 points, winning NBA MVP, multiple championships and Bryant’s 60-point extravaganza to end his career.

The Present explored how today’s athletes continue to carry Bryant’s legacy forward with the Protro line.

The Future introduced the Kobe 10 Protro that is releasing Aug. 23 in a triple-white Halo colorway, explored its updated performance innovation and offers a glimpse at what is coming next through a 3D sculpture by artist Troy Murray.

New Kobe shoes unveiled

Upcoming Nike Kobe releases were unveiled both prior to and during the Mamba Invitational. The first was seen in a 3D sculpture by artist Troy Murray that featured the outsole designs from signature Kobe shoes, including an unreleased model that is forthcoming.

Mamba Invitational athletes had the option to wear a player exclusive colorway of the Kobe 10 protro featured an orange and red gradient upper to tie in sunsets that are synonymous with Los Angeles.

Nike members on the Kobe team also created a special colorway for the weekend, which like the Mamba Invitational player exclusive, will not release to the general public.

Meanwhile, Sydney Savoury unveiled the black Kobe 3 protro low, releasing later this year. Beckham Black, the No. 1 ranked incoming high school senior, debuted an electric green colorway of the Kobe 3 protro low that is expected to release in September.
