It was a busy Sunday night in the NBA. Eight games happened throughout the day. Let’s recap ’em quickly.
After they lost against the Grizzlies, the Knicks bounced back against the Pacers, who continue to have a wildly inconsistent season. Carmelo Anthony had 26 points and 9 rebounds.
The Raptors used a 19-4 run in the fourth to finish off the Magic. DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 20 points while Jose Calderon dished out 18 assists.
Philly held Kyrie Irving to nine points in this ugly contest as the Sixers drop the Cavs at home. Cleveland has now lost six straight contests.
Brooklyn has now won five straight and got incredible offense from an unlikely source. Andray Blatche made 11 of 12 shots and scored 22 points in only 19 minutes of play. The Kings have now lost five games in a row.
Russell Westbrook went for 30 points and Kevin Durant had his first triple double of his career as he went for 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. OKC now goes to 8-3.
Detroit shocks (obscure WNBA reference!) Boston at home in a surprisingly easy victory. Greg Monroe led the now 2-9 Pistons with 20 points and 13 boards. The good news for Boston? Rajon Rondo continues his streak of games of double-digit assists with 34.
Portland has won three straight games as they got strong games from Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum, who each had 21 points. Both teams now go to .500 (5-5).
Mike D’Antoni still hasn’t made his Laker coaching debut yet but it didn’t matter. The Lakers made scoring look easy as they dispatched the Rockets by 11. Kobe had his 18th career triple double with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
